Mashmallow Bear!

This is a card I made for my Grandma, I call her Graham Cracker, so I thought it would be cute to make a card with the bear eating the smores by using the SU set Under the Stars. I used fine white glitter for the marshmallow and also put glitter on the bears paws and mouth. The glitter didn't show up so well in the picture but it looks super cute in person! I made the saying on my computer. I am sure she will get a kick out of this card.

You Rock Card

This is a quick card I made using a sketch challenge design from Paper Craft Planet. I went for a "rock star" look, I think I kinda achieved the look. The stamp set is Just Jawing from Stampin Up. The paper and ribbon are some items I picked up at Michaels on clearance.

Spooky Skull Card

My first Halloween Card of the year!! It feels good to be in the Fall mojo!! I know all of you summer loven' people out there are not ready for it to end but I can not wait till Fall/Halloween!! This is a card I made using the new SU set From the Crypt. I love the skull! The flower was made by dying the bottom portion with SU markers, a new trick I learned at convention. Then it is layered with the remaining flowers and the brads. The true colors are black, gray and elegant eggplant. The picture tends to make it look more gray, either way, I love this card!!!

Convention Friends!!

This is a picture of Tricia and I with our friend Brenda from Wisconsin. We met Brenda at the 2008 SU Convention and just by chance, met her again at this years SU Convention. Our picture was taken at the very end of the 2009 SU Convention. If you are wondering, yes, the lady in the background is Shelli, the co-founder of Stampin' Up!
Brenda, if you are reading this, we are keeping in touch this year!!! Can't wait to see you in 2010!!

Slinky Photo Holder

I think this craft project has to be my ultimate favorite sample that I saw at Convention! The demonstrator used an Slinky (remember that favorite toy of ours!) as a photo holder. You can open and close the folder and the pictures will just "spring" back into place! I took a picture of the side view so you can see how it was all attached. I hope you like this project as much as I did!

Carriage Ride in SLC, UT

Tricia and I took a carriage ride around SLC. We went to the Memorial Park and the City Park. We had a wonderful driver named Bridget and a great horse named Jerry! Jerry liked to take his time and that was fine by Tricia and I, we had a wonderful day with perfect weather to enjoy the tour!!

How to cross the street in SLC, UT

In SLC, the city provides orange flags at the cross walks for pedestrians to wave around while they are crossing the street. Per the sign, it is for added visibility so the cars are aware that you are crossing the street. What a rare treat it is to see so many people waving orange flags around!! Tricia and I got a hoot out of it every time!! I am proud to say that I waved a flag!!!

Creek in SLC, UT

It was amazing to find that a creek runs through the middle of SLC, UT. At times it is under ground but Tricia and I followed it from the Memorial Garden and then all the way into Downtown. It was wonderful to see how nicely landscaped SLC keeps this creek. These two pictures were taken in the Downtown portion of the creek.

Mormon Temple in SLC,UT

Well I am back from Salt Lake City! I went to the Stampin Up Convention this year!! This is one of my favorite pictures I took while my friend Tricia and I were sightseeing the city. This is the Mormon Temple that was built in 1889. To see this building in real life is amazing! I took this picture from an adjacent building and was on the 10th floor! What a spectacular view!! I will post more pictures of my trip.
