Mashmallow Bear!

This is a card I made for my Grandma, I call her Graham Cracker, so I thought it would be cute to make a card with the bear eating the smores by using the SU set Under the Stars. I used fine white glitter for the marshmallow and also put glitter on the bears paws and mouth. The glitter didn't show up so well in the picture but it looks super cute in person! I made the saying on my computer. I am sure she will get a kick out of this card.

You Rock Card

This is a quick card I made using a sketch challenge design from Paper Craft Planet. I went for a "rock star" look, I think I kinda achieved the look. The stamp set is Just Jawing from Stampin Up. The paper and ribbon are some items I picked up at Michaels on clearance.

Spooky Skull Card

My first Halloween Card of the year!! It feels good to be in the Fall mojo!! I know all of you summer loven' people out there are not ready for it to end but I can not wait till Fall/Halloween!! This is a card I made using the new SU set From the Crypt. I love the skull! The flower was made by dying the bottom portion with SU markers, a new trick I learned at convention. Then it is layered with the remaining flowers and the brads. The true colors are black, gray and elegant eggplant. The picture tends to make it look more gray, either way, I love this card!!!

Convention Friends!!

This is a picture of Tricia and I with our friend Brenda from Wisconsin. We met Brenda at the 2008 SU Convention and just by chance, met her again at this years SU Convention. Our picture was taken at the very end of the 2009 SU Convention. If you are wondering, yes, the lady in the background is Shelli, the co-founder of Stampin' Up!
Brenda, if you are reading this, we are keeping in touch this year!!! Can't wait to see you in 2010!!

Slinky Photo Holder

I think this craft project has to be my ultimate favorite sample that I saw at Convention! The demonstrator used an Slinky (remember that favorite toy of ours!) as a photo holder. You can open and close the folder and the pictures will just "spring" back into place! I took a picture of the side view so you can see how it was all attached. I hope you like this project as much as I did!

Carriage Ride in SLC, UT

Tricia and I took a carriage ride around SLC. We went to the Memorial Park and the City Park. We had a wonderful driver named Bridget and a great horse named Jerry! Jerry liked to take his time and that was fine by Tricia and I, we had a wonderful day with perfect weather to enjoy the tour!!

How to cross the street in SLC, UT

In SLC, the city provides orange flags at the cross walks for pedestrians to wave around while they are crossing the street. Per the sign, it is for added visibility so the cars are aware that you are crossing the street. What a rare treat it is to see so many people waving orange flags around!! Tricia and I got a hoot out of it every time!! I am proud to say that I waved a flag!!!

Creek in SLC, UT

It was amazing to find that a creek runs through the middle of SLC, UT. At times it is under ground but Tricia and I followed it from the Memorial Garden and then all the way into Downtown. It was wonderful to see how nicely landscaped SLC keeps this creek. These two pictures were taken in the Downtown portion of the creek.

Mormon Temple in SLC,UT

Well I am back from Salt Lake City! I went to the Stampin Up Convention this year!! This is one of my favorite pictures I took while my friend Tricia and I were sightseeing the city. This is the Mormon Temple that was built in 1889. To see this building in real life is amazing! I took this picture from an adjacent building and was on the 10th floor! What a spectacular view!! I will post more pictures of my trip.

Okay so long time and no posts! I have been in kind of a stamping rut lately, but I am working my way out and ready to post!
This is a gift card holder I did for a friend. She purchased a Stampin' Up! gift certificate from me and of course I had to make an envelope that was just right. This was the first time that I got to use my Organic Outlines stamp set and I just love it! I am very sad that Stampin' Up! retired this set. My picture turned out a little lighter than what the card actually is, I hope you like it anyways.

Pirate Card

This is one of my favorite pirate cards that I have made!! I made the front of the card distressed and aged looking. I also found some "gold" round glitter that I glued down in the treasure chest. Even my husband admitted he liked this card!

Teacher Apple Card

Here is the thank you card for the teacher. I saw this in a magazine and had to try it! The top part of the apple swings open to revile a pocket that you can put a giftcard or a note of thanks. I love the little worm on the front. I don't know if you can tell but he as Crystal Effects on him so he is shiny!

Backpack Box

This is a backpack box we are making at my June stamp club. In honor of the last week of school, I thought it would be fitting to do a little thank you gift for a teacher. The top flap opens up so you can put your goodies in there. The little envelope opens up and you can put a little thank you note in there too.

Ashley's B-day Delights

My friend asked me to design a birthday invite for her daughter's movie and popcorn themed sleepover. I made the invite but could not stop there! I made a popcorn treat box a straw label with the little girls name on it and also a thank you card. Everything was centered around the wonderful patterned paper I found at a craft store. The large pink stripes are flocking which makes them fuzzy. It kinda feels like velvet.

"Happiness" is in my craft room!

I could not resist using the new Stampin Up Decor Elements in my craft room. I decided on the word "happiness" because my craft room is definitely my happy place! This fit perfect just above my closet doors. I had to laugh because for those of you that know me best, my true "happiness" lies just behind those doors, my pattered paper!! It's my "PRECIOUS"!!

Decor Elements "Welcome" mirror

This is a mirror I made using the Stampin Up Decor Elements. I made this for a co-worker who just bought her first home. I love this mirror so much I want one of my own!! Simple and easy to do.

Mel's Birthday Gift

This gift was for my friend Mel, Her age we will keep secret;) I made a coaster box out of these wine coasters I found in the $1 bin at Michael's. I put a bottle of wine in the box and also attached some wine drink makers that I made with shrink-a-dinks. Of course she loved the gift and the idea behind it. Not to mention that Tawn and I went to the Cline Winery in Senoma Valley and actually sampled the "Red Truck" wine right where they make it!

Elegant House Warming Gift

Imade this frame for a co-worker for a housewarming gift. I used the Decor Elements from Stampin' Up and a piece of patterned paper. The letter "C" represents her last name. I think it turned out really elegant. I also made the card to match the frame! I hope everyone enjoys it as much as I do! I was inspired by a lady that posted on SCS. Thanks for looking!!

Mother's Day and Father's Day Cards

Here are my cards that I am doing for my stamp club on Friday. The theme is Mother's Day and Father's Day. Can you believe that I am head of the game and not waiting till Wednesday night to do these!! I really like how the Father's day card tuned out, I was a little apprehensive of the colors but I really do like them! The Mother's day card looks better in person. I embossed the flower shape then brayered it with ink and embossed it with holographic embossing powder so it just sparkles!!

Crab Surprise Invite

This is an invitation I made for my friend's husbands 40th surprise birthday party. I love that the crab is ready to party with his beer in hand!
